Born in Tokyo, Japan (1995), lives and works in Paris.

MA in Photography at ECAL, Switzerland (2022)

Hori’s inspiration draws from a tactile and haptic experience, which is not visible, yet he processes and sublimates them into texts, images, and drawings. While deepening his insight into contemporary photography in his studies, he also began to be aware of some sensations that images weren't able to capture. His interest lies in the sensory analysis of bodily encounters. Considering a physical experience as an integration of all the sensory stimulations, his work aims to trigger our tactile imaginations. Living in the era of endless production of images and eye-centered cognition, Hori explores to re-balance the realms of the senses.

His work has been exhibited in The Tsubouchi Memorial Theater Museum, Tokyo (2015), ANB Gallery, Tokyo (2020), Biennale dell’immagine, Switzerland (2021), ECAL, Switzerland (2022), Phorobastei, Zurich (2022), Eric Linard Gallery, France (2024)
